SUMMARY:Sam Reider and The Human Hands
DESCRIPTION:Led by Latin Grammy-nominated accordionist\, pianist\, and composer Sam Reider\, the Human Hands is a collective of innovative acoustic musicians exploring the crossroads of folk\, jazz\, and traditional music from around the world. Irresistible melodies\, joyful improvisation and otherworldly sounds collide. Their newest record The Golem and Other Tales (2024) features some of the brightest names in acoustic music: violinist Alex Hargreaves (Billy Strings)\, mandolinist Dominick Leslie (Molly Tuttle)\, violinist/cellist Duncan Wickel (Rising Appalachia)\, saxophonist Eddie Barbash (Jon Batiste)\, guitarist Roy Williams (Stephane Wrembel)\, and bassist Andrew Ryan (Kaia Kater). The album presents an original narrative suite alongside five other compositions that elicit echoes of Django Reinhardt\, Planxty\, Duke Ellington\, Astor Piazzolla\, Bernard Hermann and Raymond Scott. In addition to his work as a performer\, Reider is a prolific composer and has worked with a variety of chamber ensembles and artists. He will carve out time for mentoring a class of local young musicians and inspire a new generation of performers. \n\n

SUMMARY:Luca Stricagnoli
DESCRIPTION:With his music videos having Internet views exceeding 200 million and bookings in every corner of the globe\, Luca Stricagnoli is considered to be one of the most unique guitarists in the world. Luca’s creative style\, which led him to invent instruments like the Reversed Triple Neck Guitar and the Reversed Slide Neck\, vastly contributed to the modern evolution of acoustic guitar. He has been hailed as a phenomenon and a prodigy having studied classical guitar at age 10 and later attending the Conservatory\, the most prestigious music school in Italy. He excelled in classical competitions and then spent endless hours on YouTube\, learning acoustic guitar techniques that garnered even more awards. Luca then started creating his own unique style\, which included utilizing violin bows\, multiple guitars at once\, modified capos and unusual tunings. His breakthrough came when his arrangement ‘The Last Of The Mohicans’ was picked up by Candyrat Records\, the most influential Fingerstyle label\, and quickly reached streaming numbers in the millions. Luca started an intense touring activity and started his own YouTube channel and quickly amassed hundred-thousands of followers. Luca has recently founded his own music label and is also a recurring host of International Guitar Night. \n\n
