The Mission of the Bitterroot Performing Arts Council is to bring our community together through the presentation of performing arts experiences that ~ enlighten ~ inspire ~ entertain ~ educate.

History
The Bitterroot Performing Arts Council (BPAC) was formed and received its nonprofit status in the spring of 2009. The BPAC was created to continue the performing arts series that originated in September of 2004 under the auspices of the Hamilton School District, owner and operator of the BPAC’s primary venue. With tremendous support from individuals and businesses within the community, the series was saved from extinction only to grow and thrive. Over the collective twenty seasons, more than 130 performances across the spectrum of performing arts have been presented to residents of the Bitterroot Valley and beyond, providing access and exposure to artists of significance from throughout North America and around the world. In addition to the public performances, many visiting artists have connected with community members through a wide variety of educational outreach activities designed for students of all ages.

An expansion of the depth and breadth of performing arts programming to include special events, the development of additional mini-series, summer programming and a bolstered educational outreach program for k-12 students.
Strengthening
A strengthening of infrastructure to include an expansion of staff positions and board membership in tandem with technological improvements and a stronger presence across all media.
Development
The development of a strategic and tactical marketing plan to extend our reach to audience members throughout Western Montana. The development and preservation of an arts legacy in our community.
